Install Types for UL/ULC approved smoke dampers.

Installed In Duct
inserted in a duct or wall opening

Installed In Duct smoke damper with internal actuator.

MINIMUM OPENING SIZE:
11”w x 8.25”h (280 mm x 210 mm)


MAXIMUM SINGLE-SECTION OPENING SIZE:
36”w x 48”h (915 mm x 1220 mm)


MAXIMUM MULTI-SECTION OPENING SIZES:
144”w x 96”h (3658 mm x 2438 mm) or
288”w x 48”h (7316 mm x 1220 mm)

  • Damper is manufactured so that the finished outside frame dimensions are ¼” (6.4 mm) smaller than specified opening width & height dimensions.
  • Linkage must remain accessible after installation.
  • In Duct install type, single section dampers are constructed with a 2" (51 mm) flange behind the linkage and a ¾" (19 mm) flange at the front of the linkage, to facilitate access from the face side of the damper.
  • Linkage for multi-section dampers is located where damper sections meet and can be accessed from the face side of the damper assembly.
