Airfoil Control Damper
Series 8800: Heavy-Duty
- Robust construction to withstand high static pressures and velocities
- Effective solution wherever heavy-duty balancing is required, or for high pressure and/or velocity mixing applications
- The innovative blade stop design increases free area. As a result, pressure drop is significantly lower than that of industry standard heavy-duty dampers.
- Innovative bearing design ensures smooth performance and maintenance-free operation.
Caution: Never use any lubricants, such as grease or silicone, on Tamco dampers.

Series 8800 Heavy-Duty, Airfoil Control Damper:
- Ideal for use in power plants, mining operations, water treatment plants, military complexes, sports complexes, laboratories, pharmaceutical processing plants, bottling and brewery plants recycling plants, and refineries
- For elevated static pressure and velocity applications
- Designed for operation in temperatures ranging from -40°F (-40°C) to 300°F (149°C)
- Constructed with robust components to withstand up to 30” w.g. (7.5 kPa) of static pressure and velocities up to 5000 fpm (25.4 m/s)
- Recommended for use in high-pressure isolation systems, air handling units, gen sets, and fan inlet or fan outlet locations
Air leakage through a 24″ x 24″ (610 mm x 610 mm) damper does not exceed 3.9 cfm/ft² (19.8 l/s/m²) against 1 in w.g. (0.25 kPa) differential static pressure.
MR – Moisture Resistance Option:
- Stainless steel hardware replaces zinc-plated components.
SW – Salt Water Resistance Option:
- Extruded aluminum frames, blades and hardware are clear anodized to a depth of 0.7 mil. (18 microns).
- Blade and frame seals are extruded silicone.
- All zinc-plated, steel hardware is replaced with stainless steel, protecting hardware from rust and corrosion.
