Installing Vertical Blade Dampers

SINGLE-SECTION VERTICAL BLADE DAMPERS:

• Tamco recommends that single-section vertical blade dampers be installed so that linkage is located at the top.
• The actuator should be mounted on the drive rod which extends beyond the bottom of the damper.
• The lower frame of the damper must be properly braced and supported.

TWO-SECTION VERTICAL BLADE DAMPERS:

• Actuators must be mounted on the drive rods.
• Damper sections may be connected with a jumper. (If sections are connected, the damper must be actuated from only one motor location, either the top or the bottom drive rod.)
• The lower frame of the damper must be properly braced and supported.
